About the Exhibition

Megan Williamson has spent more than a decade building an invented world out of paint: a circus that exists nowhere but on her canvases, populated by riders, acrobats, horses, and the unglamorous labor that precedes every performance. Damn Everything but the Circus, installed in these two galleries, traces that world as it has developed, moving from early rehearsal scenes rendered in tightly compressed space toward the looser, more dreamlike fairgrounds of her recent work.
