Your Generosity
Has Sustained the Swope

In this season of gratitude, the Swope has much to be thankful about. Improvements to our Museum including a new elevator, new art storage, a new Mary Ann Carroll Family Education Center, and new energy and electrical upgrades have been talked about for decades. Now they are happening! We are only months away from reopening with a Museum ready for the next century, thanks to hundreds of people like you.

Your Support
Has Been Vital

Your steadfast support and generosity has sustained the Swope for decades, especially during this time of closure and renovation.

While our Museum has been closed, we have continued serving children with Art Start, our weekly program for 3–5-year-olds, thanks to space provided at the Vigo County Public Library. Our Full STEAM Ahead series for families has had programming highlighting science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts at several locations including the Library, Westminster Village, Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Our 82nd Annual Wabash Valley Exhibition was also presented at Indiana State University.

Your annual fund contribution helps support critical day-to-day operations, as well as planning for exhibitions and programming when we reopen.

You are helping to keep the Swope’s spirit alive while our building is renewed.

WHAT’S NEXT?

As excitement builds towards the opening of the Museum in the spring, please plan to join us for our celebration. The Swope is building on its 83 years of providing Great Art for All, free to all, the legacy of Sheldon Swope. Every gift, no matter the size, directly supports the Museum’s daily work and our preparations for next year’s reopenings. YOU make it possible.
