When visiting the Swope Art Museum, you have several convenient parking options:

Street Parking: There is 2-hour street parking available around the museum on 7th and Ohio streets. Please be mindful of parking time limits to avoid fines.

Special Event Parking: For our special events, members are welcome to park across the street in the Old National Parking Lot. This provides easy access to the museum and ensures a hassle-free experience.
Accessibility
The Swope Art Museum is committed to ensuring that all visitors have an enjoyable experience. Our galleries are spread across two floors, and we offer the following accessibility features:

Elevator Access: We have a small elevator that accommodates most wheelchairs and accessibility equipment, allowing for easy movement between floors.

Tour The Swope
Whether you’re bringing a class of students or a small bunch of friends, docent-guided tours will let you get beyond the label and enrich your experience at the Swope!
Guided tours last approximately one hour, and are available for groups ranging in size from six to 60. Tours offer insight into the history of American art and the artistic process, and may be tailored to suit a variety of ages and interests.

How do I book a tour?
To book a tour for your group, please email our Director of Education, Wyatt Lawson at lawson@swope.org, or call the museum at (812) 238-1676. We will follow up with you to finalize a date and time and will again contact you shortly before your tour date for confirmation.
Can my group take a self-guided tour?
Of course! Groups are always welcome to explore the museum on their own.
What happens if my group cancels?
If you must cancel a tour, please e-mail the Director of Education, Wyatt Lawson, at lawson@swope.org, or call (812)238-1676 ext. 130.
