I’d Rather Be in the Studio

[But I Have to Eat]

A No-Excuses Art Marketing Workshop with Alyson B. Stanfield

Artists: Would you like to sell more art? We understand that you’d rather be in the studio, but we also know you have to eat.

Join us at the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute!

Saturday, April 4

9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Alyson B. Stanfield of ArtBizCoach.com understands your need to sell more art and is coming to Terre Haute to give you an entire day of ideas that you can use to promote yourself and sell more art. You can’t make great art if you’re constantly worried about feeding yourself and your family!

You’ll learn

  • How to differentiate yourself with your artist statement: what it is, what it isn’t, how to write it, and why you need to do this first
  • How to introduce yourself as an artist so people want to know more
  • Why your contact list is your most important asset
  • How to organize and expand your mailing list
  • 12 rules for putting together first-class marketing materials
  • The do’s and don’ts of artist Web sites
  • Five email secrets that produce results

Just $97 until March 6! ($117 after that)  Members of the Swope receive a 10% discount on either price.  Register for the conference online here, or print a registration form and fax or mail to the Museum.  Space is limited, so register early to get the discounted rate and to ensure your spot at the conference.

  1. Want to give an unsolicited plug- Alyson’s website and book are quite good. Especially for artists who are just starting to try to build an audience for their work, she offers a lot of sound advice and positive motivation. Her workshop is a good investment.
