Taking to Water: Kaz McCue

October 4, 2013 – January 4, 2014

Hodge Gallery

Photographer Kaz McCue examines the patterns and textures of water in the exhibition Taking to Water.  In McCue’s close-up views, water is abstracted into both unfamiliar elements and familiar elements such as ripples and bubbles. The exhibition is part of Terre Haute’s 2013 citywide “Year of the River” celebration.

McCue has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from Parson’s School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts degree in mixed media from Long Island University/C.W. Post Campus.  His work has been featured in national and international exhibitions.  For his photographic work, McCue’s main focus in making images that appeal to his sense of storytelling and with the emotional interpretation of the photographic information.
