Welcome to the Swope Art Museum's 57th Annual Student Art Exhibition! We are delighted to present a diverse collection of artwork from elementary, middle, and high school students across the Wabash Valley. Each year our high school students are juried by a local artist/art expert. This year's exhibition promises to showcase the vibrant creativity and talent of our young artists, offering a captivating glimpse into the artistic landscape of our community.
Juror:
This year's juror is Tanmaya Bingham. Tanmaya serves as the Gallery Director at
Indiana State University. She has been curating, mentoring, and teaching since 2007 and has been working in arts management since 1998. She has worked for private art dealers, managed art fairs and galleries nationally and internationally, and curated exhibitions for artists from England, Australia, South Africa, and the United States.
Bingham has also worked in arts education as the director of an art school and teacher of visual arts. She has been active in the public sector and has been a committee member in many arts organizations such as West Space (Melbourne, Australia), the Center for Contemporary Arts (Santa Fe, New Mexico), the Vancouver (BC) Biennale, Canada, and the Lake Oswego Arts Council, Oregon.
