Workshop Description

Come join us in learning about watercolor with Soulaf Abas! These workshops are both introductory courses into the exciting medium of watercolor. Materials are provided! Sign-up with a friend and experience something new!



Two Sessions are Available:

Session 1 Dates: Feburary 23, March 2, March 9

Session 2 Dates: March 23, March 30, April 6

Cost per Session:

$60 for Swope Members/$70 for Non-members

Instructor Biography

Soulaf Abas was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. She received her bachelors and masters degree in fine art and painting at Indiana State University. Soully taught art at the Arab University in Damascus and is currently a faculty member in the art department at Indiana State University. She has worked with different groups of students from young children to adults and seniors, as well as intellectually challenged individuals and children with trauma in both Syria and the United States.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to take the first session to attend the second session?

It is not required to take the first to attend the second. Both are introductory courses, although if you wish to take both the lesson plan will be different for the second session.

Do I need to know how to paint?

This workshop requires no previous training! We welcome beginners!

Do I need to bring supplies?

You do not need to bring any supplies. Your supplies will be provided for you!
