Join us at the Swope this coming Friday at 6 PM to hear our Artist on Art speaker Alexandra McNichols-Torroledo. Alexandra is going to do a wonderful talk about her trip to Brazil, and her passion for the preservation of the Amazon rainforest.

“For this project, Alexandra worked with the Mura indigenous people of Itaparana, who are corralled by illegal land grabbers and loggers who are deforesting their territories and the Amazon rainforest. The Mura indigenous people who fought the conquistadors centuries ago, are now facing the fires and the illegal land grabbers who are destroying the vital rainforest.”
