2022 NEA Big Read
The Swope is happy to be participating in the 2022 NEA Big Read. Vigo County Public Library is partnering with the National Endowment for the Arts and Arts Midwest for the sixth consecutive year to bring the NEA Big Read to the Wabash Valley. The NEA Big Read is designed to broaden our world, our communities, and ourselves.
Toni Morrison’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Beloved will be available for free at the Swope while supplies last. In Beloved, Sethe, her daughter, and her community struggle to move on in the present while being burdened by the past. Through VCPL programming, readers will be challenged to see hope even when circumstances are bleak. Visit vigo.lib.in.us to see a calendar of events and learn more about the 2022 Big Read.
