Free two-two hour parking is available on Ohio Boulevard and Wabash Avenue, or visitors may also park in the city garage, located directly west of the museum, for a nominal hourly rate.
Advanced notice is requested for all groups of ten or more adults, or ten or more students with chaperones.

Personal Effects
The Museum may ask visitors to store large items in the coat room. In general, bulky items larger than 11" x 15" x 6" - including umbrellas, backpacks, large bags, and coats - should be left with the attendant at the front desk upon arrival.
Photography
Guests of the Swope are welcome to take photographs for personal use using the available light in the permanent collection galleries. Temporary exhibitions may not be photographed.
Please do not use a flash, extra lighting, tripods or their equivalents. The Swope permits photography only for personal use or educational purposes. Permission must be obtained for videotaping, publishing, professional reproduction or any other commercial use.

For the best service, it is recommended that members of the media contact the executive director, curator of exhibitions and programs or collections manager prior to arriving for the purpose of news coverage, publicity or information about a particular exhibition or artist.
Sketching
Sketching with
pencil is permitted in the Museum galleries devoted to the permanent collection and in most special exhibitions. Sketch pads may not exceed 21" x 26" x 5". While sketching, please try not to hinder the normal traffic flow in the galleries.
