March Workshop
Printmaking Linocuts Workshop
March 18 and 25 from 1 – 5 PM
Instructor: Soulaf Abas
In this workshop, students will explore, experiment and expand their printmaking skills. Utilizing traditional methods in relief printmaking, students will be encouraged to discover various possibilities in mark making and compositional solutions, as well as a various approached to the printing process. Students will leave this workshop with a new printmaking knowledge and experience, as well as a completed edition of prints.
Instructor Biography
Soulaf Abas was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. She received her bachelors and masters degree in fine art (painting and printmaking) at Indiana State University She currently teaches at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Soully has worked with different groups of students from young children to adults and seniors, as well as intellectually challenged individuals and children with trauma in both Syria and the United States.
